UNIVERSITI PUTRA MALAYSIA (UPM)

Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is a prominent research university which formerly known as Universiti Pertanian Malaysia (University of Agriculture). Since its inception in 1931, UPM has evolved tremendously as an institution dedicated to traditional agriculture. It is recognized worldwide and acknowledged as a multidisciplinary institution of higher learning that offers a comprehensive array of high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

As a centre of excellence, UPM offers Diplomas, Bachelor Degrees and more than 250 fields of postgraduate programmes at master and PhD levels. Today, it has more than 25,000 students enrolled in its programmes including international students from over 50 countries worldwide. Yearly, UPM accepts around 1,300 inbound exchange students and at the meantime sending about the same to study overseas.

It has been selected as one of the seven universities for Melbourne-Malaysia spilt PhD partnership that sponsored by Malaysian government. With its high commitment in effective strategizing innovative practices in teaching & learning, research & innovation and professional services have caused UPM to experience a dynamic shift in its positioning.

Most notably, UPM’s Business School has received accreditation from Advance Collegiate School of Business (AACSB). There are only 5% business program in the world has the honours to enjoy the association. Moreover, in the QS 2023 World University Rankings (123rd), UPM continues to excel as the first Malaysian university to be listed as Top 10 World’s Best Young Universities.

Presently, UPM has 2 campuses located in Serdang, Selangor, Peninsular Malaysia (Main Campus) and Bintulu, Sarawak, East Malaysia (Branch Campus).
